Psychedelic integration therapy refers to a therapeutic process that helps individuals make sense of their unique psychedelic journey, and incorporate the experiences they’ve had during a psychedelic adventure into their daily lives. The psychedelic experience can be profoundly impactful, often involving intense emotions, insights, memories, and altered perceptions. Integration therapy helps individuals understand and apply these experiences in a beneficial way.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy refers to the combined use of psychedelic substances and most likely psychotherapy to facilitate therapeutic healing and personal growth. In this therapeutic approach, psychedelics are not just taken on their own; they are administered in a controlled, structured setting with the guidance and support of trained therapists.
At Hum Body, the therapists are typically certified Hypnotherapists and/ or certified Life Coaches.
While we respect the ever-growing body of scientific research and hypotheses surrounding the effects of psychedelic use, we are by nature, healers and therefore accept that there are many useful remedies and benefits provided by natural resources that we may never understand, of which psychedelics are not the least.
Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic compound that is found in certain species of mushrooms, primarily those in the genus Psilocybe. When ingested, psilocybin is metabolized into psilocin, which affects the brain’s serotonin receptors to produce a range of psychoactive effects, including but not limited to or guaranteed; altered perception of time and space, visual and auditory hallucinations, intensified emotions and sensory experiences, deep introspection, spiritual experiences, and/ or feelings of interconnectedness.
At Hum Mind, we only utilize natural psilocybin in the delivery of our therapeutic model. As a holistic, nature oriented, and organic company, we feel that the body has receptors for the effective substance naturally present in the Psilocybe mushroom and we are only interested in a direct and unimpeded experience for our clients.
At Hum Mind, we only use psilocybin as a psychedelic substance. As a natural, holistic company it is important to us that we choose organic options as therapeutic agents.
While it is not guaranteed to assist with Drug Resistant Depression, which is the group studied, the effects are almost instant with clients receiving relief within hours. Further, the efficacy of Psilocybin has a longer duration than Ketamine, averaging 10 to 12 months after only 2 doses.
We have found that the 4 Night/ 5 Day model is perfect for client’s busy schedules and works effectively for the number of dosing sessions we employ.

These are two very different questions so I will address the negative experience first:
It is indeed possible to have a negative experience, but keep in mind that physically what we understand about the process has everything to do with your brain and its ability to communicate with areas it normally does not. While the right hemisphere does not normally communicate well with the left hemisphere, during a psilocybin journey, they strike up deep and meaningful talks. And they may even invite the normally hidden subconscious mind to join in. While some of the subject matter of those conversations may have heretofore been intentionally hidden, it is now revealed and may cause discomfort to the client. However, this is in large part why you may want to include therapy in the use of psychedelics. We are here to assist you.
Your unique experience may be uncomfortable or even a little scary, but it is not harmful. Remember, the way OUT of it; is THROUGH it.
As to the second part of that question: We have learned that during the historical time when this language of “bad trip” was used, there were people who wanted the liberating effects of psychedelics to be hidden or only available to those deemed “legitimate” and so less than honorable people made less than honorable claims about its dangers.
For thousands of years, this substance has been available to humans, and they have ingested it without detrimental outcomes.
An ayahuasca ceremony is a traditional spiritual ritual that originates from indigenous peoples of the Amazon rainforest, particularly in countries like Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. The ceremony centers around the consumption of ayahuasca, a brew made primarily from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine and the leaves of the Psychotria viridis plant, which contains the powerful psychedelic compound DMT (dimethyltryptamine).
